About EPIC
EPIC is a podcast for the WoW community. Our name may sound pretty presumptuous, but don't let that fool you. We cover recent WoW news, give our views and opinions about what's going on in-game, plus discuss our guild events and raids.
EPIC was created in 2010 by Lignar and Mediçakes. Enjoying our conversations about WoW with each other, we decided to create EPIC to share our thoughts and opinions about the game with the community.
We are not "hardcore" raiders, nor do we claim to know everything about this game. It is something we both enjoy playing and chatting about.
Lignar
Lignar started playing WoW in Oct of ’09 with an Orc rogue (sometimes mentioned on the show, but now a Nelf). A friend and he decided to roll dwarves to see ‘the other side’ and to create a regular 5-man team with other friends, and the priest known as Lignar came to be.
Playing a priest quickly made the rogue fade from memory, but leveling as a healer sucked. At 40, Lignar bought a shadow off spec, which quickly became his main spec and there was no turning back. Sometime in the midst of Outland questing, Medi and Lignar crossed paths (both priests in the same social guild) and a race to 80 ensued as did their friendship.
Wanting to raid, a new guild was formed and all those old friends joined the ranks. We’ve had many interesting times in a very short time, and the idea of the podcast came to mind as a way to share those (mis)adventures with the world.
Mediçakes
The ‘ole spacegoat of the show, Medi started playing WoW back in Oct of ’07 or ’08…she can’t really remember due to all the kungaloosh. Her original main was an 80 rogue, but created Medi after becoming bored with being a mindless dps machine. After crossing paths with Lignar and finding a fellow priest partner in crime, she quickly became addicted to the class.
During WotLK, Medi was mainly healing with discipline and was the 5th best Discipline Priest on the Eldre'Thalas - US server. Cataclysm hit and she felt betrayed by Blizzard, discipline seemed to have gotten the shaft. She ran into the arms of a holy paladin and became addicted almost instantly. That huge mana pool turned her on. She currently saves asses with the holy paladin and occassionally, Lignar allows her to play around in retribution.
